Book a consultation with one of the team members to discuss your Renovation. This step will provide vital information about your project. An Envy team member will discuss layout options and answer any questions in order to get all the details for an estimate.
You have decided to move forward with the Renovation or aspects of it. We need to confirm a layout and design. This will include wall locations, electrical outlets, plumbing, door sizes,Nfloor selections, paint and trims. Our planning phase is important, so few surprises happen as the project proceeds. This helps align expectations on both sides, ensuring a smooth process.
An Envy Renovations team member will take care of this process, making sure that everything is in order. Scheduling trades and dates will need to be confirmed and explained at this point. Unfortunately, sometimes dates change, and trades need to bump a day or two. This can be frustrating for you as a homeowner. However, this is a normal process, and we ask for flexibility and understanding as the process moves along.
Trades will be booked orderly, with one or two onsite completing work. You will see framing and electrical happen as well as plumbing within a short window. Once that has been completed and video inspected with the city, drywall and finishing can begin.
It is time to mud and tape, sand and coat the drywall. This is a messy slower process. We will hang tarps and have a spare furnace filter to ensure dust control happens. Once this stage is complete, the priming of the entire Renovation will happen.
The project is almost complete. It has most likely taken 4-8 weeks, depending on the size.
Trades will now hang doors, casing and baseboards. Depending on the flooring selections, these heights will vary. Furthermore, this is followed by painting, dapping and texturing the ceiling.
Now that the baseboards and casing are installed, your flooring selection will now be installed. Depending on your selection choice, this can last a couple of days or a week. If we need to apply self lever for areas or prep a floor to make it level, this will happen at this stage before installation.
The project is nearing completion. Trades may be booked for three to four hours to complete their work to wrap up the project.
It’s 99% complete and time to look everything over and ask questions. An Envy Renovations team member will meet onsite and walk the entire project with you. Should there be any deficiencies, this is the time to address them and go over everything.
Your Renovation is now complete, and it wasn’t so bad, was it? Now enjoy your new space for family and entertaining. Your one year warranty on work begins now.
